Who we are

Peace of Maid ("we", "us") provides home and office cleaning. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use our website, customer portal, text messages and services, how we use it, and who we share it with.

What personal information we collect

Information you give us:

Contact details: name, email address, mobile phone number and the address of the home or business we clean.
Service details: home size, rooms, the services and dates you choose, entry or access instructions, pets and notes for the crew.
Booking and payment records: quotes, visits, invoices and payments. Card payments are handled by our payment processor; we never see or store your full card number.
Messages: what you write to us by email, text message, our contact form or the customer portal, and your reviews or feedback.
Job applications, if you apply to join our team.

Information collected automatically:

Device and usage information: IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit and the link or ad that brought you to our site.
Cookies that remember your language, keep you signed in, protect our forms from spam and show you offers that fit you (for example, not showing a new-customer offer to existing customers).
Whether you opened our emails or clicked their links, so we know an invoice or quote reached you.
Photos our crew may take of the work at your home, to document the job and resolve any questions.

How we use personal information

To give you a price, book and schedule your cleaning, and send the right crew to the right address.
To send confirmations, reminders, arrival updates, quotes, invoices and receipts.
To send verification codes and, only if you agreed, offers and promotions.
To take payments, give refunds and keep business and tax records.
To answer your questions and handle feedback, complaints and re-cleans.
To improve our services and website, measure our advertising, and prevent fraud, spam and abuse.
To follow the law and protect our customers, staff and business.

Who we share personal information with

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only as needed to run our business:

Our staff and cleaning crews: the details needed to do your visit (name, address, access instructions, service notes).
Service providers working for us under contract: payment processing, text-message and email delivery, website hosting and security, spam protection, file storage and accounting. They may use your information only to provide their service to us.
Advertising and measurement partners (such as Facebook/Meta): information about visits to our website and actions on it, so we can measure our ads. Your mobile number and text-message consent are never shared with them.
Authorities or others when required by law, or to protect rights and safety; and a buyer of our business if it is ever sold, under this same policy.

Text messages (SMS)

SMS consent is not shared with third parties. We do not share, sell or rent your mobile phone number or your consent to receive text messages with any third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. All the sharing categories above exclude text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

We send texts only when you give your consent (for example, by ticking the box on our quote form). Messages may include verification codes, quote and appointment updates, reminders, customer care and, if you agreed, offers. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts, or HELP for help. You can also contact us using the details below. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of purchase. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Your choices

Texts: reply STOP at any time.
Emails: use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email. We will still send messages about your bookings and payments.
Cookies: you can block or delete cookies in your browser; some parts of the site may not work without them.
Your information: contact us to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you. We may keep some records when the law requires it.

How long we keep information and how we protect it

We keep personal information while you are a customer and afterwards for as long as needed for the purposes above, such as tax, accounting and legal requirements, and then delete or anonymize it.

We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted connections, limited staff access and secure service providers. No system is perfectly secure, so please contact us right away if you think your information was misused.

Children

Our services and website are for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The new version will be posted on this page with its date. Important changes will be announced on our website or by email.
